Chef Zhang Chinese Restaurant in Ariana

"I have eaten at many good Chinese restaurants around the world. While Chef Zhang may not be the best in the world, it is in mine and my family's opinion the best Chinese restaurant in Tunis. While everything we had was delicious, the dumplings and noodles were handmade and were the highlights. I would recommend the beef dumplings over the chicken ones (they were out of vegetable ones). The beef noodle soup was very good, and the noodles in particular were well made. My daughter proclaimed out loud that the chicken fried rice here was better than the fried rice I make. I don't know about that, but I'll try to change her mind whenever I am able to find affordable rice again in this country. The service was fine. The workers were kind and accommodating. Some of our food was slow to come out, but that wasn't entirely unexpected as it was 1) only the second day of being opened and 2) things were handmade. The speed will improve over time. Besides the owners, all the workers were Tunisian. While I am able to speak Arabic, the cashier and the servers all spoke English and some even speak Chinese! Overall we had a splendid visit and highly recommend this place."

"I'm so glad there's a Chinese restaurant like this in my neighborhood. The food is all delicious. It was a bit pricey when it first opened, but I like it now. It's a bit hot inside in the summer, but it's bearable. The staff is friendly, and the service and food delivery times were all good. My daughter especially likes it, so we go often. I didn't take any pictures because I was busy eating."

"To start this off, this place is simple and aesthetic, the art makes it so pretty. The waiter was very respectful and nice as well. The food was really good, the wantons were so tasty, the ravioli too. The broth used with the noodles and the wantons was so good I wish I could have the recipe. The only tiny thing I wish they could add a bit more vegetables in the noodles. But all in all, this was definitely an above satisfactory experience."

"First of all, the menu has no English or Arabic. The team needs extra training to explain to those who need help . Moreover, the management must take extra care with pest control and the maintenance. Also the music is not Chinese and was very loud. Finally the order was good however the quality and variety need to be improved . extra care is needed to make the restaurant one of the best"
